Barbara (Lucy) Lucille Moore, 89, of Greenville, formerly of Antlers, Okla.) passed away Oct. 19, 2017, at her residence. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Antlers, Okla., with Larry Stephenson and Michael Stephenson officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home in Antlers, Okla.
Born Feb. 29, 1928, in Antlers, Okla., Lucy was the daughter of Binion Grahame McDuffie and Dora (Poston) McDuffie. On April 6, 1957, in Fort Worth, she married Horace Moore; he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Prior to marrying, she was a deputy court clerk, Pushmataha County Court House, Antlers, Okla. She loved God and made him number 1 in her life and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was deeply devoted to her daughters and grandchildren. She loved to share Bible scriptures and was a great prayer warrior. She wrote beautiful prose and poetry. She loved to cook and took great care of her dog, Lil Bit, for 11 years.
Her survivors include her daughters, Susan R. Stephenson and Paula K. Emmerson; grandchildren Larry J. Stephenson II, Michael R. Stephenson, Misty Stephenson Ainsworth, Erik K. Emmerson, Jared K. Emmerson, and Kenny P. Maroney; 12 great-grandchildren; and best-friend Mildred Matthews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Ainsworth, Trace Ainsworth, Erik Emmerson, Jared Emmerson, Larry Stephenson Jr., Larry Stephenson III, and Spencer Stephenson.
